Wellington Preschool Unit Conductive Education Wellington centre provides programmes for children who have partial or global developmental delay (dysfunction) aged six months to six years. Conductive Education is form of habilitation for children with motor disorders whose disability is caused by damage to the central nervous system - its most common application is to children with motor disorders such as Cerebral Palsy and Spina bifida. Conductive Education offers a complex programme, which covers most aspects of a child's development: physical, educational, social, emotional, communication and language. Offering a positive lifestyle for children with motor disorders, their families and support people. Conductive Education Wellington Trust was established in Wellington in 1991, is a registered charitable Trust, a licensed early childhood centre and receives partial funding from the Health funding authority. We are located on the school grounds of Naenae Primary school. We provide services to children in the greater Wellington region - families are able to receive HFA assistance for travel to and from the programme. The centre operates on a sessional basis with most children also accessing other early childhood centres. Currently our centre has spaces available.
